MCAH coordinates programs for women of childbearing years and children 0 to 18 years of age. The program provides direct services such as pregnancy testing and home visits, as well as outreach, education and referrals.

Components of the program are…

Perinatal Outreach and Education (POE) encourages early entry into prenatal care and targets women exposed to tobacco products.

Comprehensive Perinatal Service Program (CPSP)collaborates with medical providers to increase the percent of women who enter into prenatal care during the first trimester of pregnancy, by increasing the visibility of the providers.

Prenatal Care Guidance (PCG) provides services that are aimed at getting women into prenatal care and encouraging them to follow through with their prenatal visits.

Child Death Review Team (CDRT) also a joint effort with Butte County to review deaths of children 0 - 19 years of age.

Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) provides community education and support to parents who have experienced SIDS.

Pregnant and Parenting Teens serves Glenn County's pregnant and parenting adolescents. It is designed to improve their health, social, and economic well-being and enhance their education.
