The County Recorder is located in the main lobby of the Courthouse.
Public Office Hours: Monday – Friday 9 a.m. to 12:00 Noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Recording hours: 10 a.m. to 12 Noon and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Pursuant to AB 1053 and effective January 1, 2013, fees for certified copies of Lassen County Birth and Death records will increase:
New fee for Birth - $20 each
New fee for Death - $16 each

Lassen County Recorder does not accept credit cards or online orders, however for your convenience, you can process online requests through VitalChek Network, Inc., an independent company that we have partnered with to provide this service.
