The Economic Development and Housing (ED/H) Division operates by the policies set forth in the Economic Development Strategy Plan (EDSP), to accomplish the objectives identified in the EDSP. All of the objectives identified fall under either Economic Development or Housing. The three Economic Development programs administered are Business Assistance, Infrastructure in Support of Business and Marketing for Business/Area Attraction.
The Housing Program is administered to assistant qualified Lassen County residents with quality affordable housing. This is accomplished through first time home buyer assistance, housing rehabilitation assistance and assistance offered through the redevelopment agency’s housing fund.
Many of the activities completed to accomplish program objectives are funded by a variety of grants. Therefore grant writing and administration are necessary components of all programs administered by the ED/H division.
